Report Phishing and Spam
In Outlook, junk is considered spam, or unsolicited, bulk – and often unwanted – email. Phishing is designed to trick you into sharing personal information like usernames, passwords, basically anything that can be used to gain access to your identity and accounts. Report junk and phishing emails through Outlook. Visit Spam and Phishing: How to Protect Yourself for more information.
Outlook
Microsoft 365 Outlook - Browser
Select the email, then from the top menu click the Report drop-down arrow.
Choose Report junk or phishing.
Windows
Select the email, click the Report Message button.
Mark the email as Junk or Phishing.
Mac
Select the email,
Mark the email as Junk or Phishing.
Depending on the version of Outlook you're using, you may need to select the email, then from the top menu click the three dots (ellipsis), to reveal Report Message.
Mail is automatically removed from the Junk email folder after 14 days and is not recoverable.
