Desk Phone Error Messages
Telephone coordinators may encounter the following error messages.
Blocked: The phone at the dialed number is unplugged. Try an alternate contact method.
Congestion: Circuits to the dialed number are busy. Wait a few minutes, then redial.
Inter-digit time out: Too long of a delay between dialed digits. Hang up and redial the number.
Line locked: The phone for the dialed number is off-hook. Try an alternate contact method.
Locked: The user-initiated “Do Not Disturb” feature. Try an alternate contact method.
If the issue persists, contact the ITS Service Desk with the following information and a ticket will be created for you.
The extension number and location (building and room) of all lines affected.
The name and phone number of the primary contact person and secondary contact, if necessary.
Brief description of the problem (including the display message) and when it occurred.
