Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Cal Poly’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) service allows you to securely access campus technology resources from wherever you are.

You must be enrolled in Multi-Factor Authentication (Duo) before setting up VPN.

If you’re using a Cal Poly state-owned computer or a tech rental, the GlobalProtect VPN is typically preinstalled.

If the GlobalProtect client is not pre-installed please see the support page for installing software on Windows or Mac.
Configure the client. Enter cpvpn.calpoly.edu as the portal address

If you have questions about accessing specific technology resources via VPN, contact the ITS Service Desk.

In order to use VPN, you must first have it installed on your computer. High-speed internet is required at your remote location.
