Authenticate with Phone Call or Text Message Passcode

This option is suitable for office phones and landlines, or mobile phones that can't run Duo Mobile.

Use Phone Call:

  1. Log in to the My Cal Poly portal or a Cal Poly application that is MFA/Duo-enabled.

  2. When you are prompted to authenticate, select Phone Call.
    You might have to click on Other options first to see the screen with the Phone Call option.

  3. Answer the phone call from Duo and follow the voice instructions to log in to the application.

Use Text Message Passcode:

  1. Log in to the My Cal Poly portal or a Cal Poly application that is MFA/Duo-enabled.

  2. When you are prompted to authenticate, select Text message passcode.
    You might have to click on Other options first to see the screen with the Text message passcode option.

  3. Type the passcode, then click Verify.
