Find a Device/Computer Name
Knowing a device/computer’s name is useful to your tech team for remote assistance, device identification, and network management.
Mac
From the Desktop, click the Apple logo, click About This Mac, then click More Info...
Windows
From the Desktop
Right-click the Windows Start Menu, then click System.
A System –> About information panel will display the “Device Name,” which is also the computer name.
From the Login Screen
Type .\ into the username field.
The computer name will show below the password field, adjacent to “Sign in to”.
