Move Files in Virtual Computer Labs

NOTE WORKING WITH MICROSOFT 365 Apps:

  • Microsoft 365 files (like Excel .xlsx) can be opened by double-clicking them in File Explorer or you can access the online Microsoft 365 apps using Firefox in the Virtual Computer Labs (VCL).

  • Microsoft 365 apps are not listed in the VCL Fleet Catalog Browser (except for Statistical Fleet) but are accessible.

There are two ways to move files in Virtual Computer Labs; either from My Files or by using File Explorer.

My Files

From your Virtual Computer Labs session, at the top left of your browser window, click the My Files icon. You may need to add OneDrive to Virtual Computer Labs.

File Explorer

File Explorer is available in all Virtual Computer Lab groups. Right-click on any file or folder to copy it, then go to the new file or folder, and right-click and paste.
