Connect to Virtual Computer Labs (AppStream)

Learn how to connect to Virtual Computer Labs (AppStream).

  • The first launch can take up to 2 minutes.
    Subsequent app connections should result in faster loading times.

  • If your browser has popup blocking enabled, you will have to allow/unblock the window to launch the virtual computer labs.
    (see browser support for how to allow/unblock in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or Edge

  • Virtual Computer Labs timeouts after an hour of inactivity.

 

  1. Go to software.calpoly.edu (Cal Poly Software Hub)

  2. Use the search feature to find the application you wish to launch.

  3. Click the Virtual Computer Labs button.

When ending a Virtual Computer Lab session, all work not saved to OneDrive or downloaded to your computer will be lost and unrecoverable. Learn how to move files in Virtual Computer Labs.
