Can't Save Files to OneDrive in Virtual Computer Labs
Problem
"When I try to save my files from a Virtual Computer Labs application to OneDrive, they don't seem to save."
Solution
Remove Amazon Appstream 2.0 from the list of permitted apps in Office 365, then set up OneDrive again in Virtual Computer Labs.
End any Virtual Computer Lab session you may have open.
Log in to the My Cal Poly Portal. Under the My Apps menu, click Cal Poly OneDrive.
Go to My Account > App Permissions.
Find “Amazon Appstream 2.0" and click the Revoke link, then click OK.
If you are currently in a Virtual Computer Labs session and need to save a file within the app, save the file to Temporary Files. Then you can download the file to your local computer by going to My Files > Temporary Files. It is recommended to enable OneDrive storage to sync files with Virtual Computer Labs.
NOTE WORKING WITH MICROSOFT 365 Apps:
Microsoft 365 files (like Excel .xlsx) can be opened by double-clicking them in File Explorer or you can access the online Microsoft 365 apps using Firefox in the Virtual Computer Labs (VCL).
Microsoft 365 apps are not listed in the VCL Fleet Catalog Browser (except for Statistical Fleet) but are accessible.
