Lost or Stolen Device

Problem

"I lost my mobile device." or "My state-owned mobile phone was stolen."

Solution

  1. Notify your department's Telephone Coordinator and the ITS Service Desk as soon as possible.

  2. Remotely wipe the device (if possible).

  3. Immediately change all saved passwords stored on the device (if unencrypted).

  4. File a police report with the Cal Poly University Police Department in a timely manner.

 

The department is responsible for covering replacement costs, equipment upgrade (if eligible), and requesting activation of a spare phone (used device) from your department inventory.
