Zoom License Change from Licensed to Basic
Certain users, like affiliates/guests, Cal Poly Partners temporary staff, emeritus, and student applicants, may receive an email message that their Cal Poly Zoom account is changing from a "licensed" Education account to a "basic" account. This is based on a change in your Cal Poly account status, affecting access to some university services. A basic Cal Poly Zoom account has limited functionality. For example, you will lose any cloud recordings associated with your account; therefore, before the deadline stated in the message, download any cloud recordings you wish to keep. Learn how to View, Download, and Share a Zoom Cloud Recording.
What's the difference between a Basic and Licensed Zoom Account?
If you are performing a business function for Cal Poly and need Zoom access to do this work, to get approval to switch your Zoom account back to licensed status, submit an Account Extension request. In the Description field, enter "Update Zoom account to licensed".
