Viva Insights in Microsoft 365 - QuickStart

Viva Insights in Microsoft 365 provides users with statistics about their monthly work patterns within Office 365. Viva Insights is available to Cal Poly faculty and staff, but if you are interested in using the feature, you must manually opt-in. The Viva Insights default has been set to “off,” allowing individuals to decide if they want to use it. Microsoft assures customers that information collected in Viva Insights is only available to each individual user.

  1. Log in to the My Cal Poly Portal > My Apps Email & Calendar. 

  2. In the upper left-hand corner of the page, click on the app launcher .

  3. Click Viva Insights

To opt in to Viva Insights

  1. From Viva Insights, click the ellipsis (three dots) > Settings (gear icon).

     

  2. From the Viva Insights Settings menu, select Privacy. Then click the toggle switch to the On position.

  3. Finish by clicking Save.
