Per Minute Rate applies to voice calls, IS-95 and other non-National Access data usage in the United States. For optional features, the underlying calling plan determines the rates for voice airtime and domestic long distance. 

If usage on this plan exceeds 25 GB per account line during any billing period, Verizon reserves the right to reduce throughput speed to a maximum of approximately 200 Kbps for up to thirty days. 4G service requires 4G equipment and 4G coverage.

This feature requires smartphone activation and can only be added to an eligible model with the $24.99 per month Unlimited Data Plan. Mobile broadband data sessions require that the equipment be placed within the domestic mobile broadband service area.

To ensure compliance with Cal Poly Information Security device standards, use of any "hotspot" services require that the university-owned smartphone be physically tethered to the mobile device (e.g. laptop). It is the responsibility of the user to consult with their ITS prior to implementing tethered "hotspot" services for university-related business, to ensure a secure and appropriate configuration to protect university data and resources.
