A browser cache is a collection of webpages, including text and images, that are stored on your hard drive or phone. Clearing your browser cache forces the browser to retrieve the newest copy available from the website. Clearing a browser’s cache can sometimes resolve performance issues.
For desktop browsers, to quickly open the interface to clear your cache, cookies, and history, open the browser and select:
- Ctrl-Shift-Delete (Windows)
- Command-Shift-Delete (Mac)
