Touch ID, which is available on MacBook Pros, is a built-in biometric authenticator that uses sensors embedded in the finger pad to verify your identity.

Launch Chrome or Safari (REQUIRED) and log in to the My Cal Poly portal.
You will be prompted to authenticate with a currently enrolled device. Choose your preferred method and complete the verification process on your device.
When the Other Options to log in screen appears, click Manage devices.
You will be asked to verify your identity once more before you can access the device management screen. Choose your preferred method and complete the verification once more.
Click Add a device.
Click Touch ID.
Click Continue to the Touch ID pop-up from your operating system.
Tap or touch your computer's built-in biometric authenticator or security key to verify your identity.
Allow duosecurity.com to connect to Touch ID by clicking the Allow button.
Touch ID is now added to your Duo account.

Log in to the My Cal Poly portal.
When you are prompted to authenticate, select Touch ID. You might have to click on Other options first to see the screen with the Touch ID option.
Tap or touch your computer's built-in biometric authenticator or security key to verify your identity.
Once your identity is verified, your Cal Poly account will be authenticated.
