Telephone coordinators may encounter the following error messages.

  • Blocked: The phone at the dialed number is unplugged. Try an alternate contact method.

  • Congestion: Circuits to the dialed number are busy. Wait a few minutes, then redial.

  • Inter-digit time out: Too long of a delay between dialed digits. Hang up and redial the number.

  • Line locked: The phone for the dialed number is off-hook. Try an alternate contact method.

  • Locked: The user-initiated “Do Not Disturb” feature. Try an alternate contact method.

If the issue persists, contact the ITS Service Desk with the following information and a ticket will be created for you.

  • The extension number and location (building and room) of all lines affected.

  • The name and phone number of the primary contact person and secondary contact, if necessary.

  • Brief description of the problem (including the display message) and when it occurred.
