If you reset your phone to factory settings or replaced it with a new mobile phone but kept the same phone number, you may need to reactivate Duo Mobile. For example, your iOS device might ask you to Reconnect. Tap Reconnect, then follow these instructions.
- Log in to the My Cal Poly portal.
- Go to the Personal Info tab > Personal Info portlet > Authorized Devices > Multi-factor Authentication > Edit.
- Authenticate your account using the Call Me method on your landline or mobile phone.
- Once authenticated, you will be directed to My Settings & Devices. To the right of your mobile device, click the Device Options button.
- Reactivate multi-factor authentication by clicking the Reactivate Duo Mobile button.
- Verify ownership of your mobile phone number by clicking the Call me button. Answer your phone and enter the 6-digit code you are given, then click the continue button.
- Install Duo Mobile on your phone.
On your mobile phone, launch the App Store app and search for Duo Mobile. Tap Get, Install to download the app, then Open.
- Tap Allow to allow Duo Mobile to send you notifications.
- On your computer, click the I have Duo Mobile installed button.
- On your mobile phone, at the top right of the screen, tap the + button to add an account.
- Click OK to allow access to the camera on your phone.
- On your computer, scan the barcode to activate Duo Mobile.
- You are now activated. Your device is ready to approve Duo authentication requests. Click the Continue button to add a second device.
