PeopleSoft (CMS) Request Form Definitions

Recipient

User who needs the permissions

Requestor

Any user with appropriate permissions to request PeopleSoft security permissions for a user/users

Reviewer

Any user (typically a security analyst) that can review account requests and submit them for final approval

Approver

Person within a department/functional module that has authority to approve/deny account requests within their functional area

Security Administrator

Person within ITS that is identified as an administrator responsible for managing security permissions within the campus PeopleSoft environments 

Role

Permission or group of security permissions identified by name that can be applied to a PeopleSoft user account

Role Group

Group of roles consolidated together under a unique "friendly name" that can be applied to a user or users

Module/Functional Module

Functional departments such as Cal Poly Jobs, Human Resources, Payroll, etc.
