- Email the ITS Service Desk at mobile-phones@calpoly.edu to arrange a time to pick up your new iPhone.
- At your scheduled time, visit the Natatorium (No. 46) to pick up your new iPhone.
- Turn off your old iPhone.
- Call Verizon at 1-877-807-4646 from a separate line. Do not call from your old or new device.
- Unbox your new phone and follow the onscreen instructions to set up your iPhone.
- Activate using a strong cell signal.
- Activating your new phone will deactivate your old phone.
- Select eduroam as your WiFi network.
- After activation, make a test call to see that phone service is activated, then send a test text message to someone else to verify iMessage is working.
- Set up Outlook (email and calendar) for iOS.

- Find Verizon’s Activation Guide in the Android phone box and follow the instructions or give the ITS Service Desk a specific date/time to activate cellular service on the new device for you.
- Activate using a strong cell signal.
- Activating your new phone will deactivate your old phone.
- Restore the back up from your old Android phone using Verizon Cloud (or your preferred backup service).Connect to eduroam WiFi for Android.
- Set up Outlook (email and calendar) for Android.

After activating your new Android phone: Reset your Android device to factory settings.
