  1. Log in to the My Cal Poly portal.

  2. Click the Personal Info tab > Under Personal Info> Authorized DevicesMulti-factor Authentication > Click Edit.

  3. You’ll be prompted to authenticate now, do not respond to it. Wait until step #6 to authenticate instead.

  4. Select Manage devices. This is located at the bottom of the list.

  5. Choose the phone number you wish to reactivate from the drop-down list, then select My Cal Poly Portal Personal Info tab. Under Authorized Devices, Multifactor Authentication Edit button is highlightedImage Added
  6. Select an authentication method and complete the verification on your currently enrolled device.

  7. Once authenticated, you will see a page that lists your devices in square cells.
    Click I have a new phone, then follow the prompts to complete the device enrollment/activation.

  8. Click Get Started and follow the prompts on the screen to complete adding your new device.

If you do not have a backup device, contact the ITS Service Desk for assistance. After the Service Desk deletes the device, you will be able to add a new device. Remember, your password will still protect your account.
