Go to the ITS Service Desk to pick up your new iPhone between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. If needed, request a tech support appointment to activate and configure the iPhone through the ticket. If activating the mobile phone yourself, turn off your old iPhone. Call Verizon at 1-877-807-4646 from a separate line. Do not call from your old or new device. Unbox your new phone and follow the onscreen instructions to set up your iPhone. Activate using a strong cell signal. Activating your new phone will deactivate your old phone. Set up manually by selecting “set up as new phone” NOT “restore from back-up.” Select eduroam as your WiFi network. Log in with your full Cal Poly email address (including the @calpoly.edu) and password. Complete the process for campus device enrollment using your Cal Poly Profile. Your Cal Poly username should not include @calpoly.edu. Once you're back to the Home Screen, the Jamf Setup app, used to quickly set up and configure your phone, will automatically install and open. Select your department, then tap the Submit button. Press the Home button or swipe up to close the Jamf Setup app.
After activation, call your phone from a separate line to ensure it is activated. Send a test text message to someone else to verify iMessage is working. Set up Outlook (email and calendar) for iOS.
