Before activating your new iPhone:

1. Back up your device.
2. Update your iPhone. 

After activating your new iPhone:

1. Erase all content and settings from your old iPhone.

2. Return the old iPhone to your Telephone Coordinator or local tech support.

1. Email the ITS Service Desk at mobile-phones@calpoly.edu to arrange a time to pick up your new Android phone. 
2. At your scheduled time, visit the Natatorium (No. 46) to pick up your new Android phone.
3. Turn off your old iPhone.
4. Call Verizon at 1-877-807-4646 from a separate line. Do not call from your old or new device.
5. Unbox your new phone and follow the onscreen instructions to set up your Android phone.
   1. Activate using a strong cell signal.
   2. Activating your new phone will deactivate your old phone.
   3. Select eduroam as your WiFi network.
6. After activation, call your phone from a separate line to ensure it is activated. Send a test text message to someone else to verify messaging is working.Restore the back up from your old Android phone using Verizon Cloud (or your preferred backup service).
7. Set up Outlook (email and calendar) for Android.

After activating your new Android phone:

1. Reset your Android device to factory settings.

2. Return the old Android phone to your Telephone Coordinator or local tech support.
