The format of a class list name is aaaa-cnnn-ss-yyyq. Mail sent to the class list name is addressed listname@calpoly.edu.
Characters | Description |
aaaa | The course abbreviation with all trailing spaces removed |
c | Code for special sections ('e', 'x' or 's'). This is optional and may or may not appear. |
nnn | The three-digit course number |
ss | The two digit course section number |
yyy | The year the course is offered in

q | The quarter within the year: Winter = 2, Spring = 4, Summer = 6, Fall = 8 |
Examples
Section 01 of a CSC 110 class taught Fall of 2019 would be: csc-110-01-2198@calpoly.edu.
Section 02 of an ME 120 class taught Winter of 2020 would be: me-120-02-2202@calpoly.edu
