Stream (on SharePoint) is a Microsoft 365 video service where you can upload, view, and share videos. Videos can be class recordings, meetings, presentations, or training sessions. Stream allows viewers to comment on a video, and tag time codes to refer to specific points in a video.

IMPORTANT

If you have any videos you want to keep that are stored on the previous Stream (Classic) version, you will need to download them before April 15, 2024. Learn more…

  1. Log in to the My Cal Poly Portal > My Apps Email & Calendar. 

  2. In the upper left-hand corner of the page, click on the app launcher Office 365 app launcher

  3. Click the All apps link, then click Stream.

  4. Visit the Microsoft Stream Support site to learn how to upload videos, add captions, and many other useful features. 

NOTES

  • The previous Stream (Classic) version was replaced by Stream (on SharePoint) on February 15, 2024.

  • To better understand the differences between Stream (Classic) and Stream (on SharePoint) read this guide:

  • You can manage who can view your video and determine how widely to share it within the organization.

  • The Stream app can be downloaded to a mobile device.
