- Go to Software Request.
- Under Software Selection,Title search by title and type enter "solidworks".
- Select SolidWorks Student Education Edition 2021-2022 - Windows (64 bit).
- Accept the terms by clicking the Yes radio button.
- Click on the Serial & Download info button.
- Go to https://www.solidworks.com/SEK.
- Enter your details. Make sure you enter a valid information using your calpoly.edu email email address.
- For the last field, select studentUnder Select one of the following, click Student.
- Scroll down to the field 'I already have a Serial Number that starts with 9020' and selectclick yes. Also, make sure you have selected Yes. Select the most recent version as CalPoly will have licenses for the most recent versionas indicated on the Academic Use Software page under SolidWorks.
- Click the Request Download button. Read the Terms of Use and click the Accept and Continue button.
- Click on Download.
- You will be prompted to download the Solidworks installation manager called 'SolidworksSetup.exe'. It is required to download the Solidworks installation files. Save it to an appropriate location on your device and take note.Find your '
- Right click the SolidworksSetup.exe' file . Right-click on it to find an exact, unzip or expand option. unzip it.
- A new file called 'Setup' should appear in your folder and the Solidworks the Solidworks Installation Manager window will pop up.
- For Under the field 'Specify type of installation' field, select, click Install on this computer and click Next, then click the Next button.
- Select the SOLIDWORKS components (Visualization, CAM, simulation, 3D design, etc) you need to install depending on your instructor's instructions or what you think you will need to use it for. Make sure to Do not select 'Electrical' as it requires Microsoft SQL Server.
- Try to log Log in to your SOLIDWORKS SolidWorks account as it will automatically populate the serial numbers. If you can't log in, enter the serial number 9020 0049 5744 0233 HKHV 966G for every component you want to install, then click Next.
- SOLIDWORKS will SolidWorks will now download to your device. Once downloaded, start Solidworks Student Edition.
- The SOLIDWORKS The SolidWorks license activation manager will appear. Select activate To activate click the Automatically over the Internet button.
- Once activated, click the Finish button. You should now have SOLIDWORKS SolidWorksS installed and activated on your device.
