Problem

"I can't access a Zoom meeting, breakout rooms, or certain features."

"The Zoom app is freezing."

Solution

Most issues can be resolved by logging in to Zoom with your @calpoly.edu email address or by updating the Zoom app.

 Confirm you're using your @calpoly.edu email address to log in to Zoom.

Likely the meeting you're trying to access is restricted to Cal Poly users, so try logging in using the Zoom app. Students must use their @calpoly.edu account to log in to their Zoom account; otherwise, they may not be able to log in to a meeting, properly access breakout rooms, or other Zoom features.

 Use/update the Zoom app.
 You may have been automatically logged out.

If your Zoom account name or settings don't seem right, you may have been logged out. Log back in to your account.

 Check your internet connection.

If you have a slow internet connection, learn how to maximize your internet bandwidth.
