PolyCard/Port Pass
Port Pass will be phased out by the end of Summer 2026 - more information to come.
All Cal Poly community members are issued a PolyCard (San Luis Obispo Campus) /Port Pass (Maritime-Solano Campus), or campus identification card. Each PolyCard/Port Pass is tied to a Campus Express account, which can be used like a debit card to purchase food, printing, and other supplies on campus.
Resources on Campus
If a student has a dining plan, they can use their PolyCard/Port Pass to purchase meals at campus dining locations.
A PolyCard/Port Pass also allows students to access resources at the Library and the Health Center.
Additional Benefits
Students, faculty, and staff can ride bus transit for free by showing their PolyCard/Port Pass
Your PolyCard/Port Pass is tied to your library account, giving you access to online resources like OneSearch, which becomes available the morning after your card is printed.
Costs and Replacement
Your first PolyCard/Port Pass is printed for free. The cost of a replacement PolyCard/Port Pass is $5 and payment must be made via Campus Express.

Availability
PolyCard/Port Pass can be picked up at the Service Desk. A photo must be uploaded in advance. New students receive their cards at SLO Days or Week of Welcome (WOW), if they've already uploaded their photo.
Cost
Made possible through Cal Poly funds, no additional charges. The cost of a replacement PolyCard/Port Pass is $5 and payment must be made via Campus Express.

Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately to avoid fraudulent charges on your account.
