Can't Access OneDrive/SharePoint Files on Mac After Monterey Upgrade

Problem

"After the most recent macOS upgrade, I don't see OneDrive or SharePoint from my computer."

"OneDrive or SharePoint files won't open on my Mac after the most recent upgrade. I get a permissions, memory/space or other error message when I try to open an Office file."

Solution

Try one of the following options to view OneDrive or SharePoint files and folders.

  1. OneDrive and SharePoint are now found under Finder > Locations > OneDrive - Cal Poly or OneDrive - Shared Libraries - Cal Poly.

  2. The OneDrive update may take some time to finish. Make sure the update is complete before trying to open files.

  3. If SharePoint isn't synced to your computer or you can't open files, you may need to re-sync.

    1. From the menu bar, click the OneDrive  icon.

    2. From Help & Settings > Pause Syncing.

    3. Sync your SharePoint files and folders.

To keep all OneDrive files and folders on your computer and reduce the time they take to load:

  1. Go to Finder > Locations > OneDrive - Cal Poly.

  2. Change the view to as Icons.

  3. Between the icons right click in the blank space and click on Always Keep on This Device.
