With a Cal Poly account, students, faculty and most staff get access to the Office 365 web-based suite of apps including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneDrive. This package also includes five free downloads of the Microsoft Office suite of installable software for Mac and Windows to use on personal computers. Learn More.

Info

On April 1, Microsoft changed Office 365 licenses for higher education customers, limiting the features available to some Cal Poly community members. All faculty and staff still have full access to the web-based Office 365 applications, but emeritus and CSU bargaining units 5, 6 and 11 are no longer eligible to download the desktop Microsoft Office software suite (which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote).

Quickstart

  1. Log in to the My Cal Poly Portal > My Apps > Email & Calendar.
  2. Click on the app launcher Office 365, then click on the Install Office drop-down and select Office 365 apps.
  3. Follow the steps to download and install your software.
