Students can check out laptops, for academic use at no cost.

Faculty and staff can borrow cameras, lighting equipment, webcams and more. Students can borrow laptops in addition to other items. Reserve items online. Learn more.Check techrentals.calpoly.edu

Faculty, staff, and students

  • Students are all eligible to check

out equipment

  • a laptop for up to one (1) quarter at a time.

  • Inventory is very limited due to current demand, and laptops are only being distributed to students at this time

. Faculty and staff who are interested in checking out a laptop should contact their local tech support

  • Reservations are required and available on a first-come, first-served basis, and can be made two weeks in advance of the pick-up/delivery date. 

To reserve items, visit techrentals.calpoly.edu.When making a new reservation, select an end date to return checked out items.
