Tech Rentals will be closed from August 30 through September 10. It will reopen in Kennedy Library's Hub24 on Monday, September 13.

Students can check out laptops, for academic use at no cost.

Faculty and staff can borrow cameras, lighting equipment, webcams and more. Students can borrow laptops in addition to other items. Reserve items online. Learn more.Faculty, staff, and students

  • a laptop for up to one (1) quarter at a time.

  • Pick-up/drop-off is located in Building 46 (the Natatorium) on Tuesdays & Fridays: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in person. Mail service available if you are currently outside San Luis Obispo county.

    • Inventory is very limited due to current demand, and laptops are only being distributed to students at this time.

    Faculty and staff who are interested in checking out a laptop should contact their local tech support.

    • Reservations are required and available on a first-come, first-served basis, and can be made two weeks in advance of the pick-up/delivery date. 

    To reserve items, visit techrentals.calpoly.edu.

  • When making a new reservation, select an end date to return checked out items.
