If you reset your phone to factory settings or replaced it with a new mobile phone but kept the same phone number, you may need to reactivate Duo Mobile. For example, your iOS device might ask you to Reconnect. Tap Reconnect, then follow these instructions.

Step 1 - Authenticate

Go to the Personal Info tab > Personal Info portlet > Authorized Devices > 
  1. Click the Personal Info tab. Under Personal Info, select Authorized Devices. Open the Multi-factor Authentication

 > Edit.

Authenticate your account using the Call Me method on your landline or mobile phone.

  1. Click Other options.

  2. You’ll be prompted to authenticate now, but do not respond to the prompt. Wait until Step 6 to authenticate instead.

  3. Select Manage devices. This tab is located at the bottom of the list.

  4. Choose the phone number you wish to reactivate from the dropdown list, then select an authentication method. Complete the verification on your currently enrolled device.

  5. Once authenticated, you will

be directed to My Settings & Devices. To the right of your mobile device, click the Device Options button.

Step 2 - Reactivate

Reactivate multi-factor authentication by clicking the Reactivate Duo Mobile button.

Verify ownership of your mobile phone number by clicking the Call me button. Answer your phone and enter the 6-digit code you are given, then click the continue button.

Select your phone type and click the Continue button.

On your mobile phone, install the Duo Mobile app. After installing the app, return to your computer and click I have Duo Mobile.

  3. Complete the re-enrollment by inputting your information following the instructions in the corresponding prompts. See details in Step 3 below…

Step 3 - Install Duo Mobile App & Add Device

  1. Download the Duo Mobile app from the App Store or Google Play on your mobile device. Click Next.

  2. On your mobile phone, tap the Add button at the top right of the screen to add an account.

Tap On your computer, scan the QR code to activate Duo Mobile.

Click the Continue button to complete the process.

  1. Tap Use QR code. You may need to allow access to the camera on your phone.

  2. Using the Duo app's camera preview screen displayed on your phone, point your phone at the QR code on your computer screen to complete the activation.
    When done successfully, the QR Code will become grayed out with a green check.

  3. Click Continue to complete the process.

  4. On your phone, name the account and tap Save. Your account is now linked. Click Practice now to learn how to use Duo and follow the prompts. When asked, tap the
