A variety of technology equipment is available to check-out for academic use. Students, staff and faculty can rent laptops, cameras, and more. Reserve items online and pick them up at the Tech Checkout counter. Learn More. 

The Tech Rentals service has been modified for summer & fall quarters, in response to COVID-19.

• Pick-up/drop-off is located in Building 46 (the Natatorium) on Tuesdays & Fridays: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. in person. Mail service available if you are currently outside San Luis Obispo county.
• Checkouts last the duration of the quarter. When making a new reservation, select an end date between Tuesday, September 1 - Friday, September 11 to return checked out items. 
• Reservations are required and available on a first-come-first-serve basis and can be made two (2) weeks in advance of the pickup/delivery date. To reserve items, visit techrentals.calpoly.edu.

Quickstart

1. Go to techrentals.calpoly.edu to check out your equipment and schedule a time for pick up.
   Faculty, staff, and students are all eligible to check out equipment for up to 1 quarter at a time.
   
2. Pick up the reserved equipment at Tech Rentals located in the Robert E. Kennedy Library in the Hub24 Computer Lab (Suite 114E). 
3. Return the equipment on your specified return date and time.
