You control how much calendar information you want to share. The Share feature not only lets you share your calendar but also lets you view or delete the permissions you've granted.

  • Click the Share button to send the invitation or click the trash can icon can to discard. 
  • Click the X to close the window

  • Log in to the My Cal Poly Portal > My Apps > Email & Calendar > at the bottom left of the page, click the Calendar icon.
  • Click the Share button on the toolbar.
  • Enter the person's Cal Poly username in the Share field.
  • Once the username has been validated, a permissions box will display.  From the drop-down box, you can select how much information you want to share.

    Can view when I'm busy

    Shows only that you have an event at a particular time, but no other details are provided. Private events always show as busy.

    Can view titles and locations 

    Shows only the title and location of the event.

    Can view all details

    Allows one to see all the information about events except those marked as Private.

    Can edit

    Allows one to view, edit, and delete events on your calendar.

    Delegates

    Allows one to view, create, modify and delete items. Delegates can also create meeting requests, and if allowed, respond to meeting invitations on your behalf. The option to view Private Events can also be selected. Learn how to Grant Access to My Calendar.

    1. Log in to the My Cal Poly Portal > My Apps > Email & Calendar > at the bottom left of the page, click the Calendar icon.
    2. Click the Share button on the toolbar.
    3. Click on the trash can icon to the right of the person's name to remove their permissions.
    4. Click the X to close the window.
